Gate.io is growing the feature set of its Telegram Mini Program to “help users manage assets more conveniently,” the crypto exchange said in a statement.
Launched in September 2024, the Gate.io Telegram Mini Program now includes Convert, Market Data, and Deposit features, and enables users to complete account registration and KYC verification in-app.
The Mini Program’s new Convert function enables users to perform instant swaps between digital assets, while its real-time Market Data feature helps users stay up to date on market trends with “Favorites” and “Spot” market contract data feeds. Users can also complete deposit transactions directly within the Mini Program, using its “simple and intuitive” interface.
The new features join a growing set of tools available to users within the Gate.io Telegram Mini Program, including a Rewards Center Redeem Function that lets users directly redeem rewards within the Mini Program, without needing to log into the Gate.io app. Other features include a New Contract Market List, which lets users track market trends, and a New Asset Page, consolidating users’ asset information in one place.
“We will continue to optimize the functionality of the Telegram mini program and plan to introduce more useful features, including trading capabilities,” Kevin Lee, Chief Business Officer of Gate.io said in a statement shared with Decrypt.
Gate.io and Telegram
Gate.io is diving into the Telegram ecosystem in a big way, with its Telegram Mini Program forming part of a $10 million strategic investment in The Open Network (TON) in order to accelerate the growth of Telegram-based projects.
In a statement shared with Decrypt, Gate.io Founder and CEO Dr. Lin Han cited the TON ecosystem’s “large Telegram user base” as a key factor in the exchange’s decision.
Alongside its Telegram Mini Program, Gate.io also plans to launch a Gate Wallet within Telegram, building on the “unified environment for innovation” across Telegram and the TON blockchain.
