Galaxis—a Web3 platform for creators, celebrities, and brands to build and maintain “unstoppable communities”—has unveiled two new staking initiatives that promise to transform how members participate in and benefit from their digital communities.
Providing self-sovereign digital spaces that operate independently of traditional social media platforms and centralized control, Galaxis’ infrastructure and digital membership cards underpin Web3 communities for prominent figures including Donald Trump, Steve Aoki and Mike Tyson, as well as brands like the NBA. Its NFT-based cards serve as the foundation for community engagement, offering holders specific benefits, redeemables, and access to private channels.
Now, with the introduction of Governance Staking for Members and Engine Superlock for Engine Holders, Galaxis is taking community participation to a new level, by combining its governance mechanisms with a programme of rewards for holders of its GALAXIS token.
Empowering community voices through governance staking
Galaxis’ newly launched Governance Staking program places decision-making power in the hands of community members, while incentivizing participation. By staking as few as 100 GALAXIS tokens on any Primary Membership Card, members gain the ability to directly influence the platform's evolution through voting rights. In addition, members with multiple eligible Primary Membership Cards in the same wallet can participate with all their cards, combining their voting power for maximum impact.
The program takes a novel approach to voting power calculation. Using a square root model that ensures fair representation, the system calculates voting power based on the lowest GALAXIS balance held during the voting period. A stake of 100 GALAXIS tokens, for example, translates to a voting power of 10, while 10,000 tokens yield a voting power of 100. This system aims to prevent excessive influence from larger token holders while still recognizing their increased stake in the ecosystem.
Each month, three million GALAXIS tokens are distributed among active voters, creating a continuous incentive for engagement. For those committed to long-term participation, a loyalty pool of 10,000 USDT awaits members who maintain consistent staking and voting activity over six months. This pool doubles to 20,000 USDT when total staking exceeds 200 million GALAXIS tokens—a mechanism designed to encourage broader community participation.
Engine Superlock: amplifying benefits for core supporters
Alongside the Governance Staking program, Galaxis has also launched the Engine Superlock initiative, which is running through to April 29, 2025.
The program is specifically designed for engine holders willing to demonstrate their long-term commitment to the ecosystem—by participating in a six-month lock of both future rewards and currently unlocked tokens, engine holders gain access to an enhanced rewards structure that significantly amplifies their benefits. Participants already enrolled in the 12-month locking program are also automatically included in the Superlock benefits.
The program's key feature though, is its "double engine" mechanism—for every engine locked, participants receive an additional engine during the superlock period. This multiplication of engines aims to not only increase participants' ability to generate rewards but also strengthen their position within the community. The program also offers a direct USDT reward structure, with participants earning one USDT for every 10,000 GALAXIS tokens locked.
The future of community engagement
At Decrypt and Rug Radio’s R HAUS event during Art Basel, Galaxis CEO Gergely Fábián outlined the company’s vision for building “unstoppable communities.”
“We were the technology provider for Donald Trump’s NFT cards, and the NBA as well—but we realized that there is much more to this technology of NFTs and utility tokens,” Fábián said. The Galaxis platform offers a space where “communities can thrive, they can engage more than community members, they can monetize better,” he added.
The Governance Staking program is now live, while the Engine Superlock initiative will continue up to April 29 next year, offering ample opportunity for community members to participate in these transformative programs.
"I see Galaxis as the go-to platform for creators looking to build self-sustaining, decentralized communities,” Fábián told Decrypt, adding that he looks forward to “scaling the platform while maintaining the startup agility that makes us innovative.”
